Biography
Gary Klein is Professor of History at SUNY Westchester Community College & Co-Chair of the New York City Chapter of the Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics (LSE).
He has taught courses in 19th and 20th century US history as well as on the American Presidency at SUNY/Westchester Community College since 2001. Gary Klein earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. and Ph. D. from the London School of Economics, all in history.
Over the course of his service to the College, Dr. Klein has earned numerous teaching honors including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award, NISOD and the WCC Foundation award.
Dr. Klein plays a prominent role in promoting faculty development. He is an active faculty in programs of the Center for Faculty, and founded the Junior Faculty Association program and the “No-Pressure Observation “ program which provides resources for teaching observations of faculty.
